Who am I?
Hello, my name is Kevin Carr! I am currently a second year graduate student attending the University of Toronto. I am currently pursuing a degree in Information Studies with a focus in the systems development and user experience design fields. I currently work as a web administrator and data warehousing analyst at the University of Toronto’s Transport Research Institute (UTTRI), utilizing my skills to help public and private organizations across the GTA in accessing infrastructure data that could help them rethink their business models. I am proficient with computer tools such as the Adobe Suite and Figma; BP diagramming conventions such as BPMN and ERD; and programming such as JavaScript and Python. In relation to user design, I am knowledgeable in key areas such as user interviews, usability testing, prototyping, and storyboarding. I am well-versed in a variety of different fields in and outside of user design, meaning I am able to provide unique perspectives on issues, particularly from a systems thinking perspective due to my background in business and systems analysis.
I have had a keen interest in computers for almost my entire life. As a result, I now spend my days working on various different projects involving computers in my work, in my studies, and even in my free time! Whether it’s a quick programming project or helping someone with tech support, I’m happy to have the opportunity to work with computers! Over the years I have slowly been refining my skill set between school and work. This website is meant to represent the skills I have accumulated in web development and user design to represent what I am capable of. I also share some of the past work that I have completed as part of my classes! You can navigate to the portfolio page to learn more.
Thanks for visiting my site!
Kevin
